Joey and Becca had a wedding with a view last weekend in Thornton, New Hampshire, a lovely spot tucked in among the White Mountains. The bride’s parents own a home with a sweeping view, and we were fortunate enough to have a beautifully overcast day that made for stunning formal photos. From years of family vacations, I have a special place in my heart for the White Mountains, but I have never been to a wedding there. This wedding was as sweet and touching as it was gorgeous, so it was truly a perfect weekend.
The ceremony was outside overlooking the mountains and was full of laughter and tears and touching stories about the couple. Even though it had looked like rain earlier, the sun came out and it turned out to be a beautiful, sunny afternoon.
After the ceremony, people enjoyed cocktails and appetizers on the deck and then moved into a tent for toasts, dinner and tons of dancing. The night was starry and cool and the dancing was really fabulous! I ran into the couple the next day (and many of their guests) at a local breakfast place, and everyone agreed that it was an incredible wedding. Congratulations, Becca and Joey!
