Angela and Leslie were supposed to get married on Sunday, August 28th, but it just so happened that Hurricane Irene came breezing through here on that day, so they had to reschedule. Of course no one wants to reschedule a wedding – so many people and vendors and logistics have to come together to make a wedding perfect, and when you move them to another day, it’s ripe for chaos. But when there is a hurricane in town and the roads are closed and the venue has no electricity, you sort of have no choice.
Luckily for Angie and Les, they were able to reschedule their wedding for the very next day. Even luckier for them, the very next day turned out to be sunny and cool with clear skies and a gorgeous sunset so they were able to have the outdoor wedding of their dreams. Most of their guests were able to attend, too, despite the change in date and the Monday afternoon workday traffic. And finally, thanks to the super team of on-site coordinators at the Saphier Estate in Sharon, the wedding went off without a hitch, even with all of the changes to the plan. It ended up being a fabulous evening. Phew! Crisis averted.
