My summer wedding season kicked off this year with Moira & Scott’s Red Lion Inn wedding on May 9th. It was still spring-like and beautiful on the grounds of the Inn and cozy and warm inside the barn where both the ceremony and reception took place. Moira & Scott were surrounded by their family members and friends and their reception featured some wonderful toasts by the Best Man and two of the couples’ close friends. Perhaps most touching, though, was a toast given by the groom himself; 6 toasts, actually. He thanked the most important people in his and his bride’s lives while everyone in the room choked back tears and busted out with laughter. I like when the couple gets up to thank their guests and family members for being there – it’s a nice touch that is easily remembered.
