Noah’s Bar Mitzvah – Infused with Art & Music

I am always excited when I am asked to photograph a Bat or Bar Mitzvah because watching teenagers having fun together, be silly, and celebrate their friends is a breath of fresh air.  I remember back to my own middle school years with such horror, that when I get to hang out with cool thirteen year olds – and their inevitably cool parents – I am reassured that the teen years can indeed be fun.

This was exactly the case for Noah’s Brookline Bar Mitzvah last fall.  I tell you, by the end of the event I wanted this family to adopt me!  They were so authentic and genuine, had such honest affection for each other, and truly wanted this party to reflect Noah’s creative gifts.  His artwork decorated the party space at the Brookline Teen Center, and during his Bar Mitzvah service, he played the violin and the drums – in addition to giving his own incredibly articulate speech about his Torah portion.

A remarkable young man and a remarkable family.  Such a joy to get to document their day!
