Last weekend I photographed Kate & Peter’s wedding at the College Club of Boston. It was my first time at this beautiful, full-service venue on Commonwealth Avenue and the Club provided us with beautiful backdrops for everything we needed!
When I arrived, the bride and her girlfriends were getting ready in one of the large guest rooms upstairs with high ceilings, large mirrors, and tons of space for all of preparations. The wedding ceremony was in the ornate drawing room on the first floor where the couple stood in front of large windows and were married by the groom’s grandmother. Then we stepped outside into the shade of the Commonwealth Avenue Mall for formal family photos, and despite the 90 degree heat we all stayed pretty cool.
Finally, Kate and Peter and their friends and family celebrated back inside with dinner, toasts, dancing, and lots of fun. The bride’s sister and father gave toasts that had everyone in the room in tears – yes, everyone! But after we had all dried our eyes, the guests enjoyed a delicious dinner, lots of great conversation, tons of dancing, and tons of laughter.
