Supporting Massachusetts’s Non-Profit Sector

I am honored that for several years running I have been asked to photograph the Massachusetts Non-Profit Network‘s annual gathering at the State House where they celebrate outstanding non-profit groups from around the state. Each year, I walk away with a renewed pride in our non-profit sector and the incredible work they do to make our communities, families, environment, and state safer, healthier, and more equitable for everyone.

Did you know that there are more than 38,000 non-profit organizations in Massachusetts? As MNN explains on their website, these groups have budgets that range from a few hundred thousand dollars to over $100 million and yet each one does critical work to educate us, keep us healthy, support our most vulnerable populations, and care for our cultural, historical, and environmental treasures.

Non Profit Awareness Day is held every year in June and is a wonderful celebration of the excellent work being done around the state. Check out the full list of award winners here and register for MNN’s upcoming conference “Building a Better Commonwealth” here.
