Maja and Robert came all the way to Boston from Germany for a three week vacation, a bit of sightseeing, and a private wedding ceremony at the Boston Public Garden! Yesterday was their long-awaited wedding ceremony and I was so lucky to be one of the two people (the other being the officiate) who got to be part of it! Well, I guess I wasn’t part of it, since I was photographing it, but you know what I mean.
Oh, and beforehand, their friends from Germany surprised them with a horse-drawn carriage to take them from their hotel to the Boston Public Garden! Maja and Robert were stunned speechless by the gesture. Thanks to Boston Bridal Carriage for the excellent service!
Afterward, the three of us went on a long walk around Boston from Beacon Hill to Fenway Park, taking photos at every point in the city of the two of them enjoying their newlywed bliss. During most of the weddings I photograph, the couple is so excited to get to their reception that we don’t get 3 hours of photographs, so this was a special treat for me. And I know by the smiles on their faces that it was a special day for Maja and Robert.
They head back to Germany next week to celebrate with all of their family and friends. I am so grateful that I got to be part of their Boston adventure!
