Art Bar and the Royal Sonesta | Restaurant Photography Boston

In October, I worked with the Executive Chef at Art Bar in the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge to make food, beverage, kitchen, and staff photographs for their website.  It was an all day shoot – I arrived at 8:00 AM and we created a “set” in a conference room close to the kitchen so we were ready to take the first photo by 8:30.  We started with a few special hotel amenities – chocolate dipped strawberries, champagne – and then moved onto the desserts, appetizers, and entrees served at the Art Bar.  After several hours, and a delicious lunch break (can I recommend the Boston Bibb salad with Sugared Pecans, Goat Cheese, Blackberries, and Maple Chive Vinaigrette?), we moved the lights, cameras, and action to the bar to photograph a number of cocktails.  Finally, to finish off the day, I went back into the kitchen with the chefs to capture a variety of action shots showing the chefs at work.
