An Outdoor Wedding at Garden in the Woods

Michele & Dave chose a very unique venue for their wedding in June. Garden in the Woods is a beautiful botanic garden owned by the New England Wildflower Society. They call it a “living museum” as it is 45 acres of wooded paths and a variety of unbelievable plants displayed throughout.

The wedding ceremony was tucked into the woods, down a gravel path from the main building. The couple and their families made their way down the path to their guests who had assembled in a small clearing. The ceremony was touching and sweet and then we all headed back up the hill for the reception complete with dinner and dancing and pie and toasts and more dancing.

I am told that the Garden in the Woods doesn’t host many weddings, so this was a special occasion and I was thrilled to photograph an outdoor wedding there. The space inside is perfect for intimate weddings and the caterer (Terra Cuisine) provided amazing food! Oh, and we also snuck out during dinner to get some beautiful photos in the evening light. Here is a sample of their wedding photos!
