First, since you’re wondering, my name is pronounced just like “Lisa.” It is a German spelling with an American pronunciation.  Bless my parents for giving me a name so unique!

I help couples and families remember the beautiful days and moments of their lives through stunning, authentic portraits and storytelling wedding photography.   I specialize in providing highly skilled wedding photography without high stress.  I don’t want your wedding to feel like a big production and I don’t want you to feel nervous, stiff, or uncomfortable.  I want you to enjoy your entire day and to forget that you’re being photographed so that when you look at the photos all you see is your joy shining through.  Helping you feel comfortable and encouraging you to have fun all day long is how I make you the beautiful, candid photos that you’ll love.

The most important part of your wedding day is spending time with your family and friends, and my style of wedding photography is perfect for couples who want beautiful, authentic photos of their day.  My approach is as a storyteller, and like a photojournalist on an assignment, I am non-intrusive.  I offer suggestions but I don’t dictate the photos we make.  Instead, I watch what is happening and document it beautifully.  I want to see you being you!

If you’re looking for wedding photographs that you’ll love and an experience with a wedding photographer that is low-key, fun, and easy, please contact me to learn how I can help you and your family remember your most cherished moments.

When you choose me as your wedding photographer, you’re choosing a collaborative partner in creating and documenting the story of your wedding day.  I make beautiful and authentic wedding photographs without making your guests feel that they are part of a big production.  My style is to document the day, not direct it, and even the posed family portraits are relaxed, natural, and fun.  I want you to feel and look comfortable as you’re being photographed throughout the day so I invest a great deal of time in getting to know you before your wedding.  And since weddings are a collection of beautiful, romantic, emotional moments, my eye is always scanning the room for the next opportunity to capture a smile, a kiss, or a fleeting glance.

My goal is for all of my clients to have wonderful photos that they love, display in their home, and compile into a beautiful heirloom wedding album.  Wedding photography coverage begins at $3,000 for 6 hours of photography and includes all of the elements listed below as well a custom-designed wedding album.  Please contact me to discuss your wedding day and the kinds of photographs you’re looking for and the various ways that we can customize your investment.

All of my wedding photography clients receive:

    • A get-to-know-you portrait session
    • Professional enhancement of selected images from your wedding
    • Access to hundreds of enhanced images via a private online gallery with the ability to share photos and purchase prints
    • A digital slideshow of selected wedding photos
    • Digital files of the selected images from your wedding with rights to reprint pictures for your friends and family members

What is your experience with photographing weddings?

I have been a full-time photographer since 2009 and have documented over 100 weddings since then.  I have shot weddings of all shapes and sizes and always find that documenting the joy and love of weddings is a great source of joy for me, too.  I look forward to more and more.

How far in advance should I book you?

Most couples hire me 6-12 months before their wedding, but I have also heard from couples only 2 months before their wedding and have been able to work with them.  If I am not available on your date, I am happy to recommend other photographers.  I require a signed agreement and a non-refundable retainer to hold your date.

We’ve heard of photographers offering “engagement sessions.”  Is this something you do?

Absolutely!  Only, I like to call them “Get-to-Know-You “ portrait sessions.  Most of my clients have been engaged for quite some time, so the photo session is less about celebrating their engagement and more about getting to know one another before the wedding day.  Being photographed doesn’t come naturally to many people, so this gives us an hour when we can just hang out, you can get used to being photographed, and make some lovely photos.  I include “Get to Know You” sessions with every wedding package.

We are looking for a mixture of candid and formal wedding photography.  Can you do both?

I always make a combination of formal and candid photographs from every wedding.  My style leans towards the more candid and documentary – the fleeting moments and memories of the day – but formal family photographs are an important aspect of every wedding.

When will our photos be ready and how many will we get?

You will have access to your edited photos via an online gallery one month after your wedding.  Most of my clients receive between 500-700 images, which are culled from the thousands of images I shoot over the course of a wedding and are enhanced so that the colors, contrast, and exposures all look great.

Do we receive the high-resolution digital files?

All of my clients receive the high-resolution files for the edited photos from their wedding day along with full rights for personal use, reproduction, and distribution.  They are also available on an online gallery where you are welcome to purchase high-quality prints, thank you notes, or albums.

Do you ever work with other photographers?

I really love to be the only photographer at your wedding, but sometimes it just takes more than one person to get to every location and cover every moment.  If you’re interested in having more than one photographer at your wedding, let’s talk about it and we can absolutely build that into your package.

What kind of cameras do you use?

I use professional-level Nikon digital cameras and lenses with backups.  Everything is captured digitally, in color, and edited on the computer.

Do you have business insurance?

I am fully insured.  Some venues require an insurance binder from all vendors, which I can happily provide.

Have you photographed a wedding at my venue?

I have photographed over 100 weddings at all different kinds of venues throughout New England from backyards to country clubs, so chances are good that I have been to the venue where your wedding will take place!  You can see a partial list of my favorite venues here and definitely ask me if I have been to your venue.  If not, I’d be happy to visit it with you and hear what you envision for your wedding photographs.

Do you do any other type of photography? I need a photographer for my business.

Other than wedding photography, I specialize in photo brand storytelling, helping non-profits and mission-driven companies gain visibility and attract donors and clients by telling their brand story through pictures. I do this by documenting the events and activities that communicate my clients’ unique value and message. Visit my business website, to learn more and view my portfolio.
