Bringing your story into focus
A wedding is one of the most meaningful moments in your life. In every wedding, there is a personal and unique story. At Leise Jones Photography, we bring your story into focus by capturing the spontaneous moments, feelings, and activities of the day.
Photos should be beautiful, artistic, and authentic. Leise approaches weddings like a photojournalist on assignment: she believes that if you watch quietly and allow things to happen naturally, the wedding will dictate perfect images. Her approach is collaborative, supportive, and positive. You should feel comfortable and relaxed throughout your wedding day.
The photo planning process helps you identify and anticipate all the activities to expect on your special day. Leise Jones Photography has captured over one hundred weddings. Leise utilizes this experience to walk you through everything in advance and give you tools allowing you to stay relaxed and enjoy the event.
Most of Leise’s photos are elegant vignettes of specific moments – a spouse’s first glance at your dress, bridesmaids helping with the veil, your best friend’s teary-eyed toast, and all the genuine, delightful moments in between. We know that mom will want a picture of the entire family in front of the steps. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Leise Jones is one of New England’s leading wedding photographers, capturing many hundreds of events since 2009. Clients have described Leise as an excellent coach and as honest, caring, professional, and unobtrusive. She allows clients to be heard and validated, and she obtains exquisite images of special moments. Her photography process gives clients comfort and confidence, and puts them at ease. Don’t let the spelling confuse you – her name is pronounced “Lisa.” Leise lives with her wife and twin toddlers in Roslindale.

We hired Leise for our wedding on 10/17/15 and she was absolutely fantastic! We loved having the “getting to know you” engagement photo session ahead of time so that we knew her style on the day of our wedding. Leise and her assistant Danielle were incredibly personable, professional, and made us feel at ease during our wedding.

Everyone in my family was impressed was with how quickly she got through the formals without ever feeling like she was rushing anyone, and they were equally impressed when they saw the photos! Whenever we thought “gosh, we’ve got to get a picture of this,” during the reception, she was already there, photographing it. She is very pleasant to work with and her photography speaks for itself.

Having Leise as our photographer contributed so much to our incredibly happy experience of our wedding. Most importantly of course, she is an amazing photographer and she captured moments that look in photos exactly the way they felt in the moment. Also invaluable are the extra contributions that come from her willingness to share all sorts of wedding wisdom. She is the ideal photographer AND planner, advisor, and friend to have beside you on your wedding day! We are so thankful to Leise for all of her help and beautiful work, and cannot recommend her highly enough.

One of the best decisions my husband and I made when planning our wedding was hiring Leise as our photographer. The day of the wedding, Leise was a ninja. There are photos that she took where we have NO memory of her being anywhere around us. The candids are exactly what you might imagine when you’re imagining perfect wedding day candid photos; she really captured the spirit of the whole wedding. The way that Leise worked with us and our families was really perfect. She was able to take control of two very large, rowdy families and get photos done quickly and efficiently, but she was so friendly and fun about it that everyone was genuinely smiling and laughing the whole time. My grandmother even took me aside and said we should hire her for more family events (which ended up happening; she’s photographing another family wedding this month).

How far in advance should I book my wedding package?
Ideally, wedding packages are booked 9-12 months before your event, but if you are closer to your date, please do inquire. On occasion, weddings are booked up to 2 months before. A signed agreement and nonrefundable deposit are required at booking time to hold your date.
What geographical areas do you serve?
Leise Jones is available for weddings anywhere in the Northeast. Travel to most Massachusetts locations is included in all wedding packages.
For weddings in Southern New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Cape Cod and the Islands, an additional $150 travel fee will be applied. Please inquire about fees for weddings in Maine, Vermont, New York, and other areas.
Do you offer “Engagement Sessions”?
Absolutely. We call them Get-to-Know-You portrait sessions. A Get-to-Know-You session is included in all wedding packages for no additional charge. We can schedule a session to announce your engagement, or plan a shoot closer to your wedding to help you feel comfortable together in front of the camera. Get-to-Know-You sessions are generally held at a beautiful outdoor location of your choice.
We are looking for a mixture of candid and formal wedding photography. Can you do both?
Yes. We always take a combination of formal and candid photographs. Leise’s visual storytelling style leans toward a candid, documentary approach (the spontaneous moments and memories of the day), but formal family photographs are an important aspect of every wedding.
When will our photos be ready, and how many will we receive?
You will have access to roughly 500 digital photos via an online gallery approximately one month after your wedding. This collection represents the best photos from the thousands of images shot over the course of a wedding, and each image is enhanced so that the colors, contrast, and details all look great.
Do we receive the high-resolution digital files?
Yes, the high-resolution digital files of your photos are available for you to keep from your online gallery. You have full rights for personal use, reproduction, and distribution. The online gallery will also offer you the opportunity to purchase high-quality prints, thank-you notes, and albums.
Do you ever work with other photographers?
Yes. If you are interested in having more than one person available to be sure to capture every moment, we do have a platinum wedding package that includes a second photographer.
What kind of cameras do you use?
Leise uses professional-level Nikon digital cameras and lenses with backups. Everything is captured digitally, in color, and edited on the computer.
Do you have business insurance?
Yes, we are fully insured. Some venues require an insurance binder from all vendors, which we can happily provide.
Have you photographed a wedding at my venue?
Leise has photographed over a hundred weddings at all different kinds of venues throughout New England, from backyards to country clubs, so chances are good that we have been to the venue where your wedding will take place. Please ask. A partial list of our favorite venues can be found here.
Do you do any other type of photography? I need a photographer for my business.
Although we specialize in wedding photography, we do have many corporate and nonprofit clients. Here is a link to our business photography portfolio.
We would love to hear from you! Leise is often out and about at various photo shoot locations, so please allow up to 24 hours for replies to email inquiries. If you want to reach us quickly, it’s best to call or text Leise at 617-671-5572.
